Possibly last post of 2007

this is the repost of the day,

Some time in ‘06 I posted this little game, I’ve got totally differnt readers than I had then - and a couple of die heards who are still rollin with me since those days, they might remember this one…

Maybe not..

So let us see… lurkers - come out come out where ever you are.. So let’s play shall we! Here’s how it works - you ask questions (even if they are awkward and uncomfortable) and I answer. Or, as I quoted someone - “I tap-dance around and appear as though I am answering, but much like your parents in your impressionable, formative years, I practice avoidance.”

Or I may give you the answer no matter if you like the answer or not, or even if I don’t like the answer. We’ll see what you all come up with.

I just may tell you to go ask your mother. Or look it up.

But who knows what may come of this madness. Lately, people have called my blogging very direct and honest - lets see if your questions can make me rethink that approach.

You Q; I’ll A. Go!

get ya groove back stella

So, a few weeks ago Spoken lost her cool with me and proceeded to rip me a new one- between her and my mom I can’t win.  She was mad that I don’t get to see her much. Although I would like to point out she’s the one who works 16 hours a day not me, and my life had made this change before I met Spoken…I was already firmly far from party chick, and solidly mommy by then. I had stopped doing poetry promotions and featuring at poetry spots at least a year before I met Spoken, for reasons that deserve its own post. Me and open mics have a love/hate relationship. And at somepoint I had just walked away. I still write on occasion. Although I wish I wrote more, I do still write. They say that celibacy is the best fuel for erotic writers. I can vouch for that. Clearly the two children In my home prove I must get laid - so I have to blame my husband for my drought of writing.

But that is neither here nor there, or maybe it is. I, while I am not as unbalanced as some, I have never been able to balance Poet Queue, with Raquita, with mom.

Granted I never really, really tried before now. Why? I wonder Why all the time internets.

Cause I really like being the mom. I really like

Christmas Recap

So. Ho Ho Ho.

imgp3948And how was your Christmas internets?

Really? Do Tell!

My holiday was long.

Saturday - I had to work as so to get this coming Saturday off. So in the midst of all the goings on I happened to post about previously, I was working. I left work to go and have the most interesting cookie baking experience of my life. No cookie sheet, no rolling pins, and three year old Vanilla. Yeah.

It was truly an experience. And a hoot riot amount of fun.

Sunday Jerry and I got to do some shopping for the holiday. Not a lot. Ironically everything we wanted Cammy to get was purchased by her Grandparents (can you say Blessing?) so we were really just shopping for something

breathe in breathe out

OkaySo what ever bug I had on Wed, came back to knock me out yesterday - I was too frustrated and not focused to catch it before it came back so I was down again for the night.

Spoken came by and brought me some ginger ale. Sat on my feet to warm ‘em up and made bad jokes for a while with me before she went off to be the single chick.

Bri put her little chubby hands on my face and sighed her little milk breath in my face and went to sleep with me. Cammy came in to check on me a bunch of times.

I got a great little family.

So I am much better this morning internets thank you for the comments on yesterday and for the lack of pity.

My mom is

You know how you walk into a battle you really don’t wanna be in, knowing it is gonna come but praying it doesn’t.You just would rather… not.

Seriously.

Yeah. That was my morning.

I’m writing this at 8:06 a.m., willing God to just make my day go on a up swing from here. I don’t want to argue and be ganged

Courtney got me with the LONGEST meme EVAH! But she was also the first person to comment on my earlier post and she makes those nifty bracelets that I love, so I am gonna hunker down and do it. (digital hug Courtney!) 1. Were you named after anyone? I hope not - that could only be the Chaquita Banana girl, and that would make everybody singing that damn song have a legit reason for doing so, no mother could be so cruel - could they?

2. When was the last time you cried? I don’t know, Jerry probably would. I’m not big on the tears though. .

3. Do you like your handwriting? When I’m trying hard yes I do, when I’m not trying at all - its not readable.

4. What is your favorite lunch meat? Depends, I like honey roasted turkey and a good roast beef maybe both on a fresh loaf with some bacon and harvarti cheese. Excuse me while I go make a sandwich.

5. Do you have kids? Yes, two girls - you have been witness to the cute if you come here.

6. If you were another person, would you be friends with you? I like to think so, I’m gullible, and I do anything for my friends so it would be in my best interest to be my friend.

7. Do you use sarcasm a lot? No!! NEVER!!

8. Do you still have your tonsils? Yes, and I’m going with Courtney with the super powers. I’d like to believe that they allow me to put up wit hstupid people. That’s a superpower right?

9. Would you bungee jump? In a heartbeat.

10. What is your favorite cereal? I like Fruity cereals, foot loops or slow sugar or low sugar frosted flakes with real strawberries in it, not  those dried out strawberries in it either. Lazy Bastards- we can’t even be trusted to cut up our own FRUIT?!?!.

11. Do you untie your shoes when taking them off? nope.

12. Do you think you’re strong? I’m strong enough that I don’t pray for strength, the only way to get stronger is to go through stuff and I’m good on the trial and tribulations thanks.

13. What is your favorite ice cream? Vanilla. I like my ice cream simple. I used to love Bryar’s Mocha almond fudge but they don’t sell it anymore.

15. Red or pink? Pink, I got baby girls.

16. What is your least favorite thing about yourself? I’m not confident enough. I worry too much about what other people think, I want to believe I don’t care, but we all know better don’t we.

Tagging SPOKEN (blog more heffa!) Jerry, and Jaelithe cause I don’t remember if she was tagged by Courtney and if she hasn’t been she’ll use it to get over and post one at a time over a week again, which is arguably more fun i admit it

Today’s random blog entries

On the passing of Ike Turner - I don’t care.

Jamie Lynn Spears Pregnancy - I don’t blame her mom - her mom is catching a CRAP LOAD of blame when her sixteen year old daughter has made 16 year old decisions. Her sister and her seem like they were raised well enough, possibly not well enough to withstand Hollywood pitfalls, but that just means to me she didn’t know how to parent in that environment. Brit was FINe for a long time before she turned STOOPID. Its hard enough to parent in general - let alone parent through the massive amounts of money and fame those girls have made individually. And when I was sixteen I was weighing the whole sex thing and was sexually active by seventeen. And I knew what the deal was, I knew how babies were made. I knew how to stop it from happening too. I knew I didn’t want it to happen. And I took all necessary precaution. This my dear internets is what I like to call a young woman making her bed and lying in it. I can only hope that the sex was good.

You make better babies when the sex is good.

Being sick - being sick sucks. Yesterday I left work early, I was feelin a little sluggish, but I was going home to take care of my sick hubby, work on this brownie cookie we’ve been trying to get right, hang with Cammy, you know do my everyday. So I get home I thought I could nap with Jerry and then go get the girls and the like. I stop by the store, pick up what I need for soup and cookies, and head on home. Get home right around three. I’m feeling frosty, but there is snow outside, everybody is feelin frosty right? So I spice up the soup I’ve chatted Jerry through makin. And he promptly steals the bowl of soup I was eating (I do remember that Jerry) and so I’m like I’m gonna take a nap and then go get the girls.

Apparently what ever hit me on the way up the stairs did so with authority, cause I woke up with a temp, dizzy and a bunch of other symptoms I wouldn’t discuss in pleasant company.

Jerry used his stern daddy voice on me. Not cool. He made me go back to bed and took care of our reguratating toddler. such a trooper he is.

So I don’t remember much of what happened from there.

Christmas Time in the City - Christmas is certainly upon us. It is time for Christmas movies and Santa photos and all manner of festivities. Fa la la la la.

Camera Woes - I am currently in a serious debate in my photographic life as to whether to build a Camera system with a brand other than Pentax. I’ve used pentax all my life and I’ve never even ever shot another brand of camera. I’m a loyalist like that. However - this last year in trying to find lenses and things for my camera as I expand to a more professional setup has been frustrating, to say the very least. Infuriating is better I think.  Frustrating enough that I am thinking of divorcing Pentax and getting together with perhaps a nice Nikon d300. This 18 year relationship is not easy to walk away from. Anybody out there have any input I would love to hear it! Especially though from Ned Bunnell but chances are slim he would have input for me, I’m such a peon in this, I guess. He blogs so it could happen, maybe.

Politics - yesterday in the store I saw the cover of the Enquirer, and it had a full front photo of Oprah on it. Nothing new right? Well this particular story had her breaking up with Steadman to get with Barak Obama. Seriously?!? This is how we treat people running for president? They don’t even wait for his opponents to sling mud, they make the mud pies for them? I mean not too long ago they had Oprah leaving Steadman for Gayle. Man Steadman must really be solid in who he is cause being with Oprah does not lend itself to thin skin. I still don’t know who I am leaning for but man I could vote Obama out of SPITE at this point.

Um - I guess this is all today.

Carry on.

hot fun in the winter

So this weekend was a hoot riot.

That was great Jerry was glad to meet some guys particularly, Mamalouges hubby- the Sexy. Chris so you know I wasn’t going down to necessarily enjoy the band, butI’m trying to get practice at band photography, they were necessary.  Anybody know any bands playing I’d like more practice.. It was cool to get to talk to alot of people, although I am so spaz with alot of people around, I don’t think I got to have any long conversations with any individual, it was more like Drive-By personality breaks, and I had my camera attached to my face til
