And how was your Christmas internets?

Really? Do Tell!

My holiday was long.

Saturday – I had to work as so to get this coming Saturday off. So in the midst of all the goings on I happened to post about previously, I was working. I left work to go and have the most interesting cookie baking experience of my life. No cookie sheet, no rolling pins, and three year old Vanilla. Yeah.

It was truly an experience. And a hoot riot amount of fun.

Sunday Jerry and I got to do some shopping for the holiday. Not a lot. Ironically everything we wanted Cammy to get was purchased by her Grandparents (can you say Blessing?) so we were really just shopping for something to put under the tree for Christmas morning. Some dolls, books, movies, things to go with the stuff our parents bought. Batteries. You know the basics.

Monday I did some last minute shopping with my aunt. I picked up a few things like a sweater for my granny who does everything for us, and slippers for her mother. Spent the day with my aunt, who I don’t get to see enough of. Made some Crème Brule. Yeah that’s always a good time. I took the girls up for bed and dosed off for a minute then we put together Cammy Christmas 2007. We actually spent way less than we usually do – and since this is the first year Cammy knows what the deal is – I think it’s a good habit for us to get into.

Cammy got very active Presents – a jogging trampoline – she has a fetish for bouncing.

She’s part tigger, and my couch has suffered long enough.

So we got her that to keep the bouncing at a isolated location. She also got a View Master.

Coolest. Toy. EVER.

She has been going back and forth between that thing and the tramp, and her dolls. She got twin real looking baby dolls. She also got the elephants she asked Santa for, as well as a few books including ‘The Velveteen Rabbit’, a collection of bible stories, the polar express in book form and in movie form, she got that hopping toy from the commercial where the guy with the clip board is chasing the little girl in circles while she is hopping happily. She got a stereo and a Mickey Mouse CD. She got some other misc things, Disney movies – you know stuff I bought and would not have held for months if Christmas hadn’t been around the corner.

That kid must know she is loved, she got a movie from Spoken, and gifts from NaNa, NaNa’s mom, my best guy friend Joe, Justin – so I’ve heard, all grandparents, Rocky took her to build a bear when she had her trip to see Santa, Grannys church sent her a gift (she attends regularly with Granny), she should truly know she is loved.

although she had an episode where her teddybear didn’t love her anymore – so she said over dinner the other day. but thats another post.

Jerrys dad came by and gave out some serious Santa love. Jerry got a Camcorder. When I sent the Christmas list to his dad I threw that on there not really thinking he’d get it. Dude, that was a very cool moment.

He gave me a charm bracelet. It’s the first piece of jewelry I’ve received since high school, my perfect engagement ring not included, so I was touched. He said it was for his favorite Daughter-in-law, who cares that I am his only one – I still love it when he says that.

He got Cammy a remote controlled car, which is probably more for Jerry as well. And we found the companion book to the GIANT flora book we got for him last year, it’s a hard find, and a giant arsed book. We spent a lot of the morning on webcam with my sister and her family, got to see the baby and my mom. Which was nice, almost like having them here only no touchy.

We went to dinner at my aunts house where Cammy got gifts from her grandparents and I gave my non baking prepared aunt the baking tools I mentioned her not having above.

My grandmother bought me a coat.

No comment, people.

It was fun times in the city otherwise. As hard as it was to get through, it was a nice holiday.

Now we are getting ready for the new year. If we make it to the new year, we’re really, really blessed. We actually already are – and I am thankful for that.
