My grandfather died yesterday of heart failure, and I am not sure what I want to say about it yet. But I know I gotta say something. I loved him, even though I barely knew him. he loved us too, even though he barely knew us. and for now that is enough.

I’m sorry to hear about your loss.
I just wanted to let you know that I’m sorry for your loss. My grandfather died this past Monday and I’m still trying to process it all. He was 95 and lived abroad for 30 years of his life, but a very important part of my life. Hopefully I’ll be able to honor him in the way that you did for yours by writing a tribute on the blog. You wrote a lovely post in your grandfather’s honor; I know he’d appreciate it. My heart goes out to you and your family. mb-j
