Todays adventures in parenting include Bri up to her wrists in butter. i odn’t knwo what that child loves so about grease products but if its greasy she wants to play in it. Hair grease, cooking oil, lotion anything. Oh and she likes to throw whole rolls of toilet paper in the toilet – we went from having 12 rolls to four in 48 hours. I am speechless about that.
Cammy and I visited Monkey Joe’s for the first time. She had a blast! she jumped and jumped and jumped and i didn’t take a camera with me, I have been trying to be more mom centered when I spend time with the girls. Which ironically mean i just need to fork up teh cash for a point and shoot. i am hoping to get that together next month.
Bri is turning into a parrot, she sat today i repeated everything my aunt said today, tone and inflection and everything. Almost makes me forget the toilet paper thing. Her vocabulary is growing leaps and bounds, shes such a different kid than Cammy was, she climbs on tables and eats a cupcake and when you walk up to her she holds it out and goes “Cupcake?” like you want one too? Shes gotten thin and her bowed legs are straightening out shes tall like her sister – wearing a 2T, making faces and kissing us back, she offers her cheek so easy now. shes less standoffish of new people but still not NEARLY as warm to people as Cammy is.
Jerry and i went on a date night we probably shouldn’t have mostly cause we really needed it. We sat had some sushi and talked, alot, about mundane things, important things, sexy things, things not kid related, kid related things, Raquita things, Jerry things, work things, we sat there and nursed that sushi for a long while. when we finished we walked down the streets of Downtown St. Louis to the car and talked some mroe, we talked all the way home , forgot to go get diapers for the next day, and talked more.
It was great.
We both mentioned how we thought about that night all day the next day, and how much we missed that kind of time together, between the business, the jobs and the kids, who has time to date your spouse? The next evening we promised that we’d do more one on one date nights even if it was just a few hours to slip away. I have time to date my spouse, its easily the most important time I spend on any given day.
that and the time I spend fishing whole rolls of toilet paper from the bowl.

We LOVE monkey joe’s!
I’m glad you two were able to get out on a date – that is important!
I think this series of pics might be some of your best work. Incredibly engaging pics with a lot of eye-popping detail. Awesome stuff.
No, I am not biased!

Some advice from a divorced woman — EVERYONE wants to feel wanted. Make sure you take the time to show your spouse that, even when you don’t have the time.
’till next time…
