I have written this post at least three times -
it has been killed by the blue screen of death -
my toddler -
and random bad luck -
if this post does not make it then I will quit blogging all together – however you all will not know what happened because the post will not have made it and I will have quit blogging…..
any who -
It has been a little over a week since the new one has arrived. Gabrielle is a wonderful baby. Shes very quiet and vocal but not in a screaming wailing baby way, more in a “Yo – could you change me” sorta way and “If I could eat AGAIN lady with the large knockers that would be swell.” kinda thing. And That in its self is a blessing -I told someone today that she was like the calm in the hurricane that is our house. Cammys energy seems that much more all encompassing when you have another kid right there.
I have learned a lot in these ten days. For instance…
1.the disposable undies they give you in the hospital after you give birth – I should have asked for a case of them.
2.What i think of when the Dr. says take it easy and what the Dr. really means are apparently two totally different things. I heard tone it down – he heard BED RES. Mild miscommunication there, you think?
3. People who chose to have a c-section for what ever reason (want a particular birthday – scheduling conflict etc.) are COMPLETELY PSYCHO. If I have offended anybody with this particular statement – I don’t care cause I MEAN THAT MAN!
4. Husbands who rock – tend to rock even more when they have to – Jerry has been a God send. And he never complains. Which is the kicker. a man who doesn’t complain?!?!
I know, right!!!!
5. Clearly I suffer from the you must want what you cannot have thing or I’m a nympho cause this whole must wait six weeks bit is getting old real quick and its barely been ten days… and the whole number 4 thingy noted above is not helping.
6. your feet can swell to three times their normal size.
7. this is not something that I learned but I thought it should be noted for all of my bloggin dinner friends – The Dr. was there and sober!!!
My site has been acting a donkey but I think its a server issue and my host is like playing stupid,I call and they are like HUH?
Anyway.
I want to take a second and thank everyone for the well wishes, adapting to a extra person in our life has been interesting. Cammy has taken the big sister thing and ran with it – I have to tell her not to kiss the baby so much and that you don’t PET babies, they aren’t like cats and dogs, and i have yet to tell her its not her baby, Which is what she thinks “where is my baby, Can I hold my baby now?”- although I use our baby when I talk to her, she hasn’t picked up the distinction. Figures.
The new Daddy is a tad nervous about the whole handling of the small human, and I don’t remember this level of nervousness the first time around so it, perplexes me a tiny bit. since I am breast feeding he doesn’t get roped into night feedings or changings, so when he looks all nervous and man like when I ask him to dress her – it amuses me a lil bit.
I will next blog about my shower – which was awesome and I want to tell my Natas thank you! Spoken too. Especially my Renata I know how far outside of her comfort zone parties and people are and I so appreciate her sacrifice to do that for me and Bria.

Raquita, I want to cry for how beautiful your girls are. They are perfectly exquisite.
Also, once a breastfeeding mother, always one. When you mentioned you’re breastfeeding I got that “let-down” pain, even though that spigot has been turned off for 5 years. Ha.
I’m glad your recovery is going well. It definitely helps to have a helpful husband.
I totally agree with #3. Hurts doesn’t it??? lolol. That first time you try to get out of bed is a killer.

im very happy for you, the hubby and the new big sister. it was kewl and surprising to see you in the store too……
you have not only a lovely daughter but a beautiful family…..
i glad to know all of you and looking forward to meeting the newest member.
SO glad he was sober! And she is TOO cute.
I was taking a drink when you mentioned your doctor was sober this time. And well? Just sprayed down my computer.
So happy to hear the baby is calm and sweet and the hubby is helping lots. And Cammy looks so proud.
Your hubby is lucky. He’s got THREE georgous women in the house!
Congratulations! She’s beautiful and so are those photos. I had 4 c-sections because all my babies were breech. When women say they want a c because they don’t think they can handle the pain of childbirth I look at them like they’re crazy. The recovery is so much longer and I had to have a tummy tuck to fix what all those surgeries did to my belly. But enough about me. You’re family is beautiful. I’m happy for you.
I’m going to have to figure out what one does to get a daughter. My boys could use one! For now I’ll live vicariously through you and your girls.
