I was gonna title this blog post Thursday the new Monday but really I worked Sunday shooting a AWESOME wedding at the Ethical Society in Clayton, and the Randall Gallery Downtown – Can I say again how awesome it was? IT WAS AWESOME. Anywho so that meant I was prepping on Saturday, and shooting Sunday and did my first round of Edits Monday, did paper work at the studio Wed – so technically I need today to be Saturday..wait maybe Friday will work – if I.. hey maybe it will work, go figure.
I think that is really gonna be the thing I am trying to figure out – really, how to balance the new schedule. With both girls in school (can you say TWO heads of hair to comb in the morning OY VEY!) and you know two kids, its gonna make things pretty interesting. but lucky me – I got SUPER HUSBAND on the grind with me (cue awesome theme music) – our pattern seems to be I am on hard call in the mornings – Hair and dressing and the like, and I’ve picked up the slack on dinner prep and cooking – which I didn’t realize I missed so much til I gave my family the “itus” two days in a row.. Oh you don’t know what the “itis” is? Start at 2:20 for a definition..
Anyway – I been on my WOBL lately and things are going well. I’ve been tryin to give Jerry the space to do his thing cause his job just keeps putting things on his plate and he loves the challenge – and I love that he loves his job – I definitely dont wanna be the only one here who loves their job, and his give the insurance so we love that he loves it.
I got albums done I’ve been tryin got get done for ages and I got client meetings scheduled where it doesn’t KILL my night to meet with people, and I got my kids on a schedule that includes a 8:30 bed time to go with their 6 am wake up call, and the studio is coming right along, paints done and frames are ordered and things are really moving. So next week is D-day – i got my designer working on some new pieces for promo stuff, and marketing pieces, got my dad on the bridal show display construction, got my eye on some marketing prints and new business cards, cause my cards are awesome but i need MORE AWESOME. Is that bad that I want MORE AWESOME in my already AWESOME LIFE.. Just checkin.
Totally about to kick holiday cards into gear – and will be sending out a new newsletter next week to mark our launch to full time so this is a good time to get on that mailing list if you aren’t all ready.. Just sayin.. I got my new designs and they are SO CUTE. I am so so pleased with them.
Also its Chicago time, gotta hit Ikea for the studio and I really need some Garrett’s popcorn.. YES I am driving the extra half hour from Ikea to the Garrett’s shop on Michigan ave unless I can find one closer. No I have no shame about this.
my house is a disaster – just thought I would put that out there for anyone who wonders how I do it all – I don’t my house is where I fall short, no you cannot come over and see..
Seriously you can’t.
Any who I would also apologize about the lack of blogging but – it starts to ring false after the 87th time you say it so I am not gonna say it – I am just gonna try and do better- TIME WILL HELP. I have to believe that.
I got two newborns coming up in the next week or so not to mention the twins who won the fathers day promotion. so the blog will be poppin just as soon as Sept 17th hits, not to mention the every wedding I got in Oct. This is about to be fun peeps, hold on to something – this is gonna be the ride of my life!
