It was a long lazy weekend – designed to make the hubby happy, and apparently it was a rousing success. Thus this will be a long lazy post.. broken into parts each posted through out the day… And I still hvaen’t finished my pictures, I forgot all of my editing software is on the laptop I gave my mom and I don’t get it back til tomorrow so - this will be the last week of light picture posting. tis the price of loving your mother.
Anywho.
Friday we hung light – put Cam down at a decent hour. Then my girls came and kidnapped me with and Bri, who seems to have some ‘mommy’s gonna go have some fun’ radar and wakes up EVERY time I get ready to go have a good time- so we took her with for some late night Cocktails and appetizers at Cheesecake factory. Yes I am the chick who walks into the restaurant at 11 p.m with an infant for drinks.
Jerry was tired so he was asleep before we pulled from in front of the house - but again it was eleven o’clock or so. We also decided that we are gonna take my Grandmother with us next time as Spoken brings her granny and clearly the world is ready for those two feisty ladies to get together and set it off.
Jerry let me sleep later than seven o’clock – sorta – in a ‘Babe can you please go handle Cammy shes upset..’ and he walks in there and they start fighting like she’s fifteen and the world is so dramatic, and the worlds drama is outside my bedroom door.
Yeah.
My first thought was “Wow, this was not the most effectively executed request I ever asked for.”
So I got on up and got ready for my engagement shoot. I enjoyed the couple. David and Amanda. David was much like I expected, played the very male ‘how long will this take? I hate taking pictures..’ but was all about the posing. Amanda is a bubbly personality and that came through in the pictures I think. They are a cute couple and I am looking forward to their wedding in June.
Oh yeah - my new camera - A thousand levels of FANNYTASTIC with truffle awesome sauce reduction and a spring of mint, served over a bed of perfectly prepared kick assedness.
yeah - thats about right…
Afterwards I had plans to have a lil game night after herby turkey burgers and sweet potato fries, which I whipped up with some jerk chili mayo. They were tasty, light, herby goodness – on Kaiser rolls. Nana came by for dinner and slowly game night came together. We sat around and disected the titles of Romance novels, talked about all manner of hysterics, which by the way is where the title of this post came from. I’ll be running with that in the future. We played 25 words or less as well. Which gave us some memorable moments. I noticed today they have a part II avalible - so I think I’m gonna have to get that as we’ve played enough that we are a bit too ready on the clues sometimes.
If you don’t know, 25 words or less is the greatest game ever. Object of game get your team to guess the five words on your card in – that’s right – 25 words or less. And the things people think up to say, I swear!
I won’t even go into how a clue was Flipper and the instant response was Whale.
Whale?!? We all fell out in hysterics. Good fun, especially when we started shooting shots of tequila between rounds. The people didn’t disperse until five thirty in the morning, I had to call it a night around four as Cammy went to bed around nine thirty which meant seven a.m. wake up call. Who wants to wake up at seven after two hours sleep? Not I. So I headed off to bed, while Jerry kept the party goin. We are planning a card night to play some spades and chill out in the near future, like really near.
2 B continued…
